In the beginning.....

OK, OK , I know what you're thinking (to borrow a line from one of the all-time greatest shows - Magnum P.I.), why would an atheist start a blog with the first line of the Bible? Well, even though I don't share the same beliefs as the authors, I must give credit where credit is due, it's a pretty good opening line.

Well, Oliwia's and my life has a new beginning. Her name is Sofie. I have tried e-mail to keep people posted and have found that I am rewriting many of the same things. I thank all of you for being interested in our lives and I will continue to respond to e-mails. This blog is intended to provide an easy way for everyone to share the experiences of Sofie's first step, her first bike ride and the daily activities of our lives.

So let me start with Sofie. She is almost 2 months old now. She has been great so far and is very fair mannered. She has been more fussy lately but is still the most beautiful girl in the world. She is becoming more coordinated and will grab fingers and hold on. She is a big fan of George Winston and falls asleep to his music on many nights. We play fairly tales (The Ugly Duckling, Hansel and Grettle) in Polish for her and also play a lot of the Polish group Bajm. Oliwia and our Polish friends speak to her in Polish so hopeful she can can grow up speaking Polish

On a side note, I rode The Wall today. I figured I'd get one last ride in before the snow comes tomorrow!!!!!!!! Oliwia has also been back on the bike a couple of times. We're looking forward to the ski season and more biking as weather permits.
